Flood Watch In Effect For Brevard & Volusia Counties
(Melbourne, FL) --Flooding could be a problem today along the coast. The National Weather Service has a Flood Watch in effect until 8:00 p.m. for Brevard and Volusia counties. Up to 3 more inches of rain are expected today. The NWS warns excessive rain could cause flooding in rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying or flood-prone locations. Also, a Wind Advisory is in effect until 8:00 this morning in Volusia County. Winds were expected to reach 30 miles an hour with gusts up to 50 miles an hour.

Residents Return To Unsafe Seminole County Apartment Complex
(Lake Mary, FL) --An apartment complex in Seminole County is still considered unsafe, but some residents are back anyway. Some residents at Pebble Creek in Lake Mary returned this week even though the county says they're not allowed to. The county ordered 85 units to be evacuated last month due to structural concerns. One man tells News 6 it's a little concerning the county doesn't think the buildings are safe for occupancy, but he has nowhere else to go.
DeSantis Boasts That State Is Drawing Record Amounts Of Money
(Miami, FL) --Florida is drawing records amount of wealth from other states. Governor Ron DeSantis made the claim yesterday while speaking at a conference in Miami.He says Florida has had more Adjusted Gross Income move into the state under his watch than has ever moved into any state in the history of the US. DeSantis credits the state's pro-business policies and other states' high-tax policies.He adds Florida shows a great framework for how states can succeed, grow their economies and give people more opportunities.
Autonomous Big Rigs
(Dallas, TX) -- Texas has become the national hub for testing driverless big rigs. John Esparza, who heads the Texas Trucking Association, says there is a good reason why. He says there are plenty of roads to test on where there is no snow or ice.And, he says, this is good news for drivers. The autonomous trucks, he says, are safer than human drivers who need sleep and food to stay on track.
