Orlando International Airport Ranks Among Worst

(Orlando, FL) --Orlando International Airport is considered the worst airport for international travel. That's according to a recent report by Upgraded Points, which was based on data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The rankings focused on the average time it took travelers to pass through customs during the winter holiday travel season. Los Angeles International Airport is the second worst, followed by Nashville International in third place.

FAA May Reduce Flights At OIA

(Orlando, FL) --The federal government shutdown may continue to affect operations at Orlando International Airport. The FAA has announced it'll reduce the number of flights at 40 airports by about 10-percent starting tomorrow. ABC News reported yesterday OIA is one of those airports. OIA officials, though, say they haven't been told anything. The FAA says the reductions will ease pressure on airports dealing with a shortage of air traffic controllers.

Sarasota Couple Suing City And Police Over Investigation

(Sarasota, FL) --A former Republican Party official and his wife are suing the city of Sarasota. Former Florida Republican Party Chair Christian Ziegler and wife Bridget filed the lawsuit last week against the city and two police detectives. The lawsuit is in response to an investigation two years ago where Christian was accused of sexual assault and video voyeurism. No charges were ever filed due to a lack of evidence. The Zieglers say their constitutional rights were violated during the investigation, and it caused severe and enduring harm. Christian wound up resigning from the Florida GOP, and Bridget quit her job at the Leadership Institute. The couple is seeking damages, but no amount is mentioned in the lawsuit.

Philly Restaurants Flooded With Fake 1-Star Reviews

(Philadelphia, PA) - Multiple restaurants in Philadelphia are reporting a wave of fake one-star reviews on Google. At least nine independently owned restaurants throughout the city received dozens of fraudulent reviews, and at least one restaurant had a reviewer asked to be paid through WhatsApp to take down the posts. The federal trade commission passed a ruling last year banning fake reviews which allows the agency to seek civil penalties of up to a 50-thousand-dollars per post. The restaurant owners have reported the reviews and say they just want to see Google put more strict measures in place for people to be able to post.
