(Melbourne, FL) -- A teenager is dead after a shooting in Brevard County. Melbourne Police say Palm Bay 19-year-old Nathaniel Jennings was shot and killed yesterday morning downtown. Stephan [[stu-FAHN]] Dieujuste [[day-JOOST]] was arrested for manslaughter. He claims self-defense, and he's due in court today. This is Melbourne's first reported homicide of the year.
Shooting In Brevard County
(Titusville, FL) -- A man is injured after a shooting in Brevard County. It happened Saturday morning in Titusville at Garden Street and South Grannis Ave. Titusville Police arrested Calvin Woodson. He's charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. There's no word on a motive. Police say the victim is expected to survive.
Homicide Suspect Arrested In Brevard County
(Cocoa, FL) -- A suspect is in custody after a deadly beating in Brevard County. Cocoa Police made the arrest yesterday morning after the incident at Cocoa Lofts on Friday Road. A man was killed, but he has not been identified. The CPD has not identified the suspect, either, or discussed a motive for the attack. WESH 2, though, reports the victim and the suspect lived together with the suspect's girlfriend, and the suspect suffers from schizophrenia but had been off his meds.
Democratic Senator Calls Trump Voters 'Creepy Weirdos'
(Sarasota, FL) -- A Democratic lawmaker thinks President Trump's voters are creepy and weird. Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy was in Sarasota on Saturday for a town hall with Orlando Democratic Congressman Maxwell Frost. The event was held in Republican Congressman Greg Steube's district. Murphy says Steube refuses to hold a town hall because he only likes talking to what he calls the billionaire class, creepy MAGA weirdos that surround Donald Trump and his cult leader. Frost criticized Steube for not meeting with constituents. He tells News Channel 8 he and Murphy are trying to fill that void and tell people about what's going on in this country.

(Tampa, FL) --Another candidate is running for governor next year. State Senator Jason Pizzo confirmed the news on Friday and will register as independent. He left the Democratic party last month because he says that party is "dead".
Man Pleads Guilty To Bigamy In Brooksville
(Brooksville, FL) -- A man facing bigamy charges pleaded guilty on Friday in Brooksville. Hernando County detectives say Henry Betsy Jr. was married in three separate counties to three different women within a two year time period. He appeared in court with his current girlfriend and was 20 minutes late. Betsy's sentencing hearing is July 31st.
