University Of Florida To Ban Protests Inside Buildings

(Gainesville, FL)-- The University of Florida is bringing back an old policy that bans protests inside campus buildings. The decision comes as school presidential candidate Senator Ben Sasse prepares for another visit to campus. When the Nebraska Republican first stopped by UF earlier this month, the student forum he attended was interrupted by a large group of demonstrators. Sasse is expected to appear before the Board of Trustees on November 1st for a public interview.

Door-To-Door Salesman Accused Of Stealing Dog In Brevard County

(Rockledge, FL)-- A teenager is accused of stealing a dog in Rockledge. Alabama 19-year-old Ethan Morales was arrested last week for grand theft and animal cruelty. He allegedly was working as a door-to-door salesman when he stole a Jack Russell mix from outside a home on Glenbrook Circle. Police say the homeowner learned of the theft when a neighbor showed her the video. Police say Morales confessed and the dog was returned to the owner.        

Man Arrested For Stealing Amazon Truck

(North Miami Beach, FL)-- A man is in custody after allegedly stealing an Amazon truck in Miami-Dade County. North Miami Beach Police arrested the man after the truck was found yesterday at Jefferson Plaza on Miami Beach Boulevard.

Woman To Be Honored For Saving Lineman's Life In Volusia County

(New Smyrna Beach, FL)-- A Volusia County woman will honored today for saving a man's life. New Smyrna Beach's Casey Shaw resuscitated a lineman who became unconscious after being electrocuted three weeks ago in Venetian Bay. Shaw is a registered nurse, and she says it was very scary since she had never done CPR in the field before, but her instincts kicked in. She used a defibrillator a New Smyrna Beach Utilities worker had in his truck and continued CPR with another lineman until paramedics arrived. The 24-year-old lineman has since been released from the hospital. New Smyrna Beach's fire chief will present Shaw with an award today at the city commission meeting, and she tells News 6 she's flattered and honored.  

People Asked Not To Dress As Late Serial Killer Jeffrey Dahmer

(Undated) -- Warnings not to dress up as a deceased serial killer on Halloween are going viral. The pleas on social media say dressing up as Jeffrey Dahmer could be traumatizing for the families of his 17 victims. Dahmer's first victim was killed in Bath Township, Ohio near Akron. Netflix's new series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is the streaming service's second most-watched show of all time.

Leftover Pumpkins Can Be Donated To Help Feed Pigs

(Undated) -- Halloween is a week away which means pumpkins will be thrown into trash bags across the country. But farmers want you to donate them to help feed their pigs. "Pumpkins for Pigs" is a website which encourages people to donate their pumpkins to farms and make sure they do not go to waste. There are 13 locations across Kentucky which can be found at PumpkinsForPigs.com.
