DeSantis Seen With Indicted Giuliani Associates

(Tallahassee, FL) -- New pictures and video of the governor have Democrats wanting answers. The images that came out yesterday from the Tampa Bay Times and Reuters show Governor Ron DeSantis with businessman Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman at his election night party in Orlando last year. The Russian natives are associates of Rudy Giuliani, and they were recently indicted for donating foreign money to US elections. DeSantis pledged to return money they donated to his campaign last year, but the state's Democratic Party tweeted yesterday DeSantis still has a lot more questions he needs to answer. 

Gaetz Removed From Impeachment Inquiry

(Washington, DC) -- Matt Gaetz believes the behavior of Democrats shows the impeachment inquiry is just a charade. The Panhandle congressman was removed from a closed-door hearing yesterday where House committee members were interviewing a former White House aide. Gaetz isn't on the committee, but he thinks he should have been allowed to attend because he sits on the Judiciary Committee, which is in charge of impeachment hearings. Gaetz tweeted this impeachment is more of a coup and the inquiry is a hoax. 

Man Arrested For Trying To Steal Deputy's Car

(DeLand, FL) -- Vigilance in stopping car break-ins appears to be paying off for Volusia County deputies. Orange City's William Smith was arrested this weekend in DeLand on West Georgia Ave as part of an anti-burglary operation called Downtown Vigilance. Deputies say the 21-year-old was trying the door handles of different cars, including one belonging to a deputy. During the arrest, deputies say Smith elbowed one officer and tore the badge off of another.  

Pastor Held At Gunpoint

(Fountain, FL) -- A search is underway to find a man who held a Bay County pastor at gunpoint. First Baptist Church of Fountain Pastor James Sharkey says a man held a gun to his head when he arrived at the church Sunday morning. Sharkey was able to scare off the man he identified as Raymie Godfrey, and Godfrey remains on the loose. Sharkey tells News 13 Godfrey is well known around the church, and they even hired him as a repairman.

Woman Arrested For Trying To Kill Boyfriend

(Dunedin, FL) -- A man is hurt after an argument over bedding covers led to a shooting in Pinellas County. Dunedin's Tikerria Bell was arrested yesterday for allegedly shooting her boyfriend. The 21-year-old reportedly told deputies she got her gun from her purse after he hit her during the argument, and she shot him when he choked her. The man is in stable condition.

Sports Events Get Financial Backing In Brevard County

(Titusville, FL) -- Some Brevard County athletic events are getting a financial boost. The county commission voted last week to approve more than 60-thousand dollars in grants for five events. The biggest beneficiary will be next month's Chiro [[ kie-roe ]] Games, which features chiropractic schools in the US and Canada. The grants are awarded to events that attract visitors, and the money comes from tourism tax revenue. 

Sleepy Hollow Embraces Halloween

(Sleepy Hollow, NY) -- The town of Sleepy Hollow is going all in when it comes to Halloween. Once known as North Tarrytown, the town changed it name to Sleepy Hollow in the mid-1990s, thanks to the popularity of Washington Irving's short story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and its Headless Horseman. The town and nearby region now has a thriving Halloween industry, including the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze where some 100-thousand tourists descend on the community. In addition, street signs and fire trucks are orange and black, and ambulances are emblazoned with murals of the Headless Horseman.

Video Reveals Panera Mac And Cheese Comes In Bags

(St. Louis, MO) -- Turns out Panera Bread makes its mac and cheese by dipping premade bags into hot water. An employee revealed the technique on TikTok in a short clip that got nearly a million likes. In another video posted Friday, the user said the reveal cost her her job. The company is now confirming that their mac and cheese is indeed made off-site with its proprietary recipe using ingredients that meet their standards.

2009, Colorado authorities and military personnel were dispatched to track a helium-filled balloon, mistakenly believed to have lifted off with a six-year-old boy inside. When the balloon landed, authorities quickly discovered there was no one inside the flying-saucer-like balloon. The child was found hiding inside a cardboard box in the attic of his parents' house in Fort Collins.
