High School Student Baker Acted For Shooting Comment (Palm Bay, FL) -- What started with what police call inappropriate jokes now has a student being held for a mental evaluation. A 17-year-old Palm Bay High School student was detained yesterday under the Baker Act. Melbourne Police say the student made inappropriate jokes about the Broward County school shooting and later said he would shoot people. Police tell "Florida Today" the threat was not credible, but they take all threats seriously.
Osceola County Students Arrested For Threatening Violence At Schools (Kissimmee, FL) -- Two teenagers are facing charges for threatening violence in their schools. Osceola County deputies arrested a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy this week for threats made against Celebration High School and Liberty High School. Deputies tell the "Orlando Sentinel" one of the threats involved a bomb. Two Students Arrested For Threats Against Schools (Tampa, FL) -- Two students are facing charges for threats made against their schools. The students were arrested yesterday in Hillsborough County for threatening shootings at Turkey Creek Middle School and Armwood High School. No weapons were found on either student, and the threats are not considered credible. Each of the students is charged with a felony.
Student Charged With Threat Against School (Bristol, FL) -- A threat by a student is responsible for a school being placed on lockdown. Liberty County deputies say a 7th grader threatened a shooting at W.R. Tolar K-through-8 School yesterday. Deputies say the 12-year-old admitted to making the threat. No weapons were found on campus, and the boy was charged with disrupting a school function.
Legoland Closes Briefly After Threatening Note Found (Winter Haven, FL) -- A note police describe as concerning is responsible for a brief shutdown at a popular theme park. Legoland Florida was shut down yesterday afternoon after the note was found in a bathroom at the park. No one was allowed to leave or enter the park as Winter Haven Police and Polk County deputies searched the grounds. Nothing was found, and guests were allowed to enter the park after about two hours.

NJ Cemetery Worker Trapped Inside Grave He Was Digging (East Hanover, NJ) -- A New Jersey cemetery worker is lucky to be alive after getting trapped inside a grave he was digging. He got pinned when an 800-pound concrete burial cover fell into the grave at Hanover Cemetery in East Hanover. It took first responders hours to rescue the 59-year-old. He wasn't seriously hurt.
Using Smoke Bomb To Chase Out Skunks Costs Man Home (Ferndale, MI) -- A Michigan man no longer has a home after burning the place down while trying to get rid of skunks. Officials with the fire department say the Ferndale man was trying to get rid of the skunks in his crawlspace with a smoke bomb but it sparked a house on fire. This was on Monday in Webster and by the time the man called for help, the home was in bad shape and declared a total loss. The man was renting the house and lost most of his possessions in the flames. ALL BECAUSE HE THOUGHT AN EXTERMINATOR WOULD BE TOO EXPENSIVE????
