Some people won’t hire you. Some just flat out don’t like you. And some don’t believe that you are normal. The bias is there and it’s easy to see. They say it out loud.
Sure, the bias is from an uneducated position. You’ll se that when it’s used by those who are supposedly the most educated of us. They refuse to look at reality and don’t understand what normal means. Not to be left out, the media gets in on the act. Again, another group that appears to be educated beyond its abilities.
AT&T is phasing out landlines in Florida. It’s about time; I phased mine out in about 2007.
Apparently, definitions mean little these days. Take the word nonpartisan. It’s never really meant what it’s purported to mean. These nonpartisan races in the primary election are anything but that. And now, at least in some cases, the rules used to try and hide political identity and squelch clarity are falling away.
It’s been a week for the Brevard County Commission. They decided to obliterate the tax cap in Tuesday’s meeting. They also voted to consider raising impact fees on development by a whopping 47%. I can see where commissioners gluttonous eyes will be glazed over at the prospect of the pile of money at their disposal if the property tax amendment doesn’t pass. They’ll have hiked the tax rate far beyond what the county charter allows (3% vs their 10% move Tuesday) and then have developers dumping tons of cash on them to be able to build around the county.
