Man Accused On Intentionally Hitting Boy On E-bike With SUV

(Orange County, FL) -- An Orange County man accused of intentionally hitting a child on his e-bike is now facing charges. Forty-four-year-old Gregory Hoole is charged with aggravated assault and child abuse. Police say Hoole allegedly hit an eleven-year-old boy with his SUV near Golden Dewdrop Trail on Wednesday during a neighborhood confrontation. He also allegedly smashed the child's cellphone. The boy wasn't seriously hurt.

Suspect Killed After Ambush Wounds 2 Police Officers

(Hillsborough County, FL) -- A man accused of holding his ex-girlfriend captive is dead after police say he ambushed officers in Ruskin. Police identified the suspect as 34-year-old Chris Markowski, who opened fire from a van and shot one officer in the face and another in the neck. A third officer returned fire, and Markowski later died at a Tampa hospital. Both wounded officers are expected to survive.

Miami Billionaire Donates $2.5 Million To Support Sen. Moody's Re-Election Campaign

(Miami, FL) --A Miami billionaire dropped two-point-five-million-dollars into Florida's Senate race. The Miami Herald reports Ken Griffin gave the money to support U.S. Senator Ashley Moody's re-election campaign as part of his nationwide spending spree to support Republicans' efforts to maintain control of the Senate. He made the donation to a super PAC called Stronger Safer Nation.

(Pensacola, FL) -- The U.S. Navy says Blue Angels pilots will not be reprimanded or fired after a jet flew unusually low over Pensacola Beach. Video shows the aircraft sending sand, chairs and tents flying as it passed over the crowd. Navy officials completed a safety review after acknowledging the maneuver was lower than standard.

Memphis Restaurant Owner Denies Service To National Guard Members

(Memphis, TN) --A Tennessee restaurant owner is defending his decision to deny services to National Guard members working as part of the Memphis Safe Task Force. Miles Tamboli, the owner of Tamboli's Pasta & Pizza, confirmed the restaurant declined to serve four members of the Memphis Safe Task Force on Saturday night.He stands by the decision, adding his refusal was not directed at the Guard members themselves, but at the National Guard's overall presence in the city. Tamboli also referenced the recent killing of Tyrin Johnson, who was shot and killed by National Guard troops earlier this month. He claims the National Guard has made Memphis harder to live in.
