Man Pleads Guilty To Killing Girlfriend's Child
(Brevard Co., FL) -- A Brevard County man admits to killing his girlfriend's child. Joshua Manns pled guilty this week to avoid the death penalty, according to authorities.In 2021, three-year-old Jameson Nance died after being abused. Manns pled guilty to second-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and child neglect charges. He is expected to be sentenced to 60 years in prison.
FHP Fires Two Troopers After Arrests
(Kissimmee, FL) --Two state troopers are no longer employed after their arrests in Osceola County. FHP announced yesterday Captain Lenita King and Trooper Maurice Vilsaint have been let go. This comes after they were arrested this week for grand theft. According to their arrest records, they charged the Champions Gate Community Development District for off-duty security work they never performed.
Former Probation Officer Accused Of Sharing Sensitive Info With Suspects
(Orlando, FL) --A former probation officer is accused of tipping off suspects in Orange County. Crystal Gaynell Ann Lawson was arrested yesterday for allegedly sharing confidential information with suspected drug traffickers. The sheriff's office says Lawson got the info from a court database she still had access to even though she had been fired as a juvenile probation officer four years ago. She allegedly accessed the system over a hundred times this year and warned some suspected drug traffickers deputies had warrants for their arrests. Lawson is charged with over one hundred counts of unauthorized access to a computer.If convicted on each count, she could be sentenced to over 5-hundred years in prison.
Palm Beach County Psychiatrist Suspended
(Boca Raton, FL) --A suspended Palm Beach County doctor may face another lawsuit for his conduct with patients. Boca Raton psychiatrist Dr. Andrew Sorial was placed under emergency suspension five months ago by the Florida Department of Health.The FDH got complaints from women that he would ask them to undress or wear provocative clothing during telehealth sessions. One patient sued Dr. Sorial two weeks ago, and a lawyer for another patient says he might file a lawsuit, too. No charges have been filed, but one female patient tells Local 10 News that Dr. Sorial is evil and vile and deserves to go to jail for what he did.
Boston Bars Selling A Lot Of Beer
(Boston, MA) --Scottish soccer fans in Boston for World Cup are drinking a lot of beer. While waiting for Scotland's next match in Foxboro, the "Tartan Army" has been packing the city's bars. Managers said they have seen far more beer consumption this week compared to a Saint Patrick's Day weekend in the city. To avoid running out, beer is now being delivered to bars daily.
