Wednesday: What Gay Pride Month?

The LGBT community may be a bit out of sorts this week as Pride Month is not getting the attention that the flamboyant crowd craves. At least, not like it used to, anyway. From not flying the various rainbow flags to being outright ignored in some corners, the dew if off the LGBT lily.

President Trump is saying yes to attending the redo of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The last one did not get off the ground when a would-be assassin disrupted the event. I’ll bet the Secret Service is happy about this decision.

Speaking of correspondents, Scott Pelley fired off at Bari Weiss, his boss at CBS. It wasn’t the smartest thing he’s ever said, and now he has no job.

Florida has property tax relief on the way to the November ballot. It’s not quite what the governor wanted, and the wailing has already begun from the expected corners. And that’s all because we know that local and county elected officials don’t have what it takes to do their jobs properly.

California’s primary elections are giving Republicans hope even as Democrats who should have never been considered remain in the running.

We have those stories and more on tap for this Wide Open Wednesday, but that means it’s your day to direct the discussion (Scott, not yesterday). Pick one of those or bring up something else that’s on your mind and we’ll see what develops on today’s BML.
