Florida Files Lawsuit Against OpenAI

(Tallahassee, FL) --Florida is suing OpenAI, calling its artificial intelligence product, "ChatGPT," unsafe. The 'suit names OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman. It was filed today by state Attorney General James Uthmeier, who cited incidents of real-world harm, including a mass shooting at Florida State University. It's the first state-level lawsuit directly targeting the company. 

Deadly Beach Accident In Volusia County

(Daytona Beach Shores, FL) -- A woman is dead after an accident on the beach in Volusia County. The sheriff's office says a pickup truck crashed into a beach ramp toll booth yesterday afternoon in Daytona Beach Shores and the woman working in the booth was killed.She was identified as Daytona Beach 63-year-old Tammie Jo Baker. The truck driver was taken into custody under the Baker Act. She was identified as Ormond Beach's Deanna Harrell. 

Rep. Donalds Visits Miami

(Miami, FL) --Byron Donalds wants to the states to have more control of artificial intelligence. The Republican congressman and candidate for governor was in Miami yesterday to discuss AI. He says his AI policy is slightly different than President Trump's. While Trump wants to prevent states from regulating AI, Donalds believes the states need to lead on the issue. He also says he knows how hard it is to get good policy through Congress. Despite the split with Trump on AI, Donalds says he's very grateful for Trump's support, and he calls him a great friend who's doing a great job leading this country.    

NYC Mayor Repeals Bedtime For Students During Knicks Playoffs

(New York, NY) -- New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is repealing bedtime for public school students during the Knicks playoffs. In what could be an unprecedented move, a New York City mayor is telling parents it's okay to let the kids stay up late on a school night to watch the Knicks battle the Spurs. Game One of the NBA final is Wednesday night. To punctuate his gesture, Mamdani had children at City Hall "signing" his executive order with their handprints.

Man Charged For Having "Chimichanga Out" Outside A Taco Bell In Flagler County

(Flagler County, FL) -- A man is facing indecent exposure charges after baring his genitals outside a Taco Bell in Flagler County. Deputies say Brandon Irizarry had his "chimichanga out" Wednesday. Sheriff Rick Staly says he was also found with a live betta fish named "Baja Blast" in his backpack. The county shelter says the fish is "doing great." Irizarry is being held on a five-thousand dollar bond.
