Raúl Castro Indicted For Criminal Conspiracy

(Miami, FL) -- The Justice Department is indicting former Cuban President Raúl Castro. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said the 94-year-old is facing criminal conspiracy charges in connection to a 1996 incident where Cuban fighter jets shot down two planes operated by a group of Miami-based Cuban exiles. Four people were killed, including three Americans.The DOJ maintains the planes were flying over international waters. 

Woman Killed In Dog Attack In Brevard County

(Cocoa, FL) --A woman is dead after she was attacked by dogs in Brevard County. It happened Tuesday morning in Cocoa on Blue Bonnet Drive. Neighbors say Jodi Cowan was walking home when two dogs attacked her.Her husband heard her cries for help, fought off the dogs and called 911, but the 50-year-old passed away at the hospital. The sheriff's office is investigating. Cowan's husband tells WESH 2 seeing the woman he loves just ripped apart is an image he'll never get out of his mind. 

HillsCo Commission Approves Non-Binding Memorandum Of Understanding With Rays

(Tampa, FL) --Hillsborough County is ready to play ball with the Tampa Bay Rays. The county commission yesterday approved a non-binding referendum of understanding with the Rays on a new stadium in Tampa. The Rays want the county and the city of Tampa to contribute almost half the cost for the two-point-three billion dollar stadium. The county is being asked for almost 800 million. Rays CEO Ken Babby says the vote is excellent news for the community, and he thanked the commissioners for their commitment to serving the best interests of Tampa Bay. The Tampa City Council will vote today.        

Bay County Company To Sell Tacos By Boat

(Panama City, FL) -- A Bay County company that couldn't sell its product on the sand will do so on the water instead. Starting tomorrow, Beach Tacos 850 will deliver tacos and other menu items by boat on Shell Island. It used to use a food cart, but the county decided last year to ban food vendors on the beach. Beach Tacos 850 owner Glen Huggins says they already have a food truck, and the boat is the newest addition to their fleet of taco mobiles. He tells News 13 he's really excited to see how it goes. 

'Barack Obama' Running For Governor in California

(Sacramento, CA) --People voting for California governor this year will see a Barack Obama on the ballot, but it's not the 44th president.A Democrat named Barack D. Obama Shaw is one of the options. The man changed his name to honor the former president. He isn't the only candidate who changed his name to highlight his values.LivingForGod AndCountry DeMott is running with no party affiliation. He has been a chaplain and worked in pest control. DeMott says he will fight to end ICE raids and the vehicle miles traveled tax. Sixty-one total candidates are on the ballot for governor. Some of their day jobs include hotel housekeeper, nurse and musician.
