The Tampa Bay Rays (15-11) defeated the Minnesota Twins (12-15) 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at Tropicana Field. With the win, the Rays have won three in a row and clinched a series win against Minnesota.
Jake Fraley got the scoring started in the bottom of the fourth inning with a two-run homer. The Rays added three in the seventh and one in the eighth to turn the game into a blowout. Shane McClanahan (2-2, 3.91) picked up the win after pitching five shutout innings in which he allowed three hits while striking out seven and walking two.
