The Tampa Bay Rays (13-11) defeated the Cincinnati Reds (16-9) 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Tropicana Field. With the win, the Rays snapped their winning streak at three games.
Nick Martinez (1-1, 2.10) pitched eight strong innings in which he allowed one earned run on five hits while striking out six and walking one. Yandy Diaz went 3-for-4 with a RBI and a run score, Ryan Vilade went 2-for-2 with a RBI and r run score, and Junior Caminero hit a home run to help key the Rays offense.
