Welcome to a BML Monday where we catch up on the latest from the weekend and set the tone for our morning discussion this week. Maybe that’s why Jimmy Buffett said, “Come Monday, it’ll be alright.”
It won’t be if you want to use New Jersey transit to see World Cup matches at Met Life Stadium. The train will cost more than they originally projected and they aren’t allowing parking at the stadium.
The world will certainly change if a documentary maker is anywhere near accurate in his assertions. He’s talked with top government officials who are pretty sure there is something to the whole UFO phenomenon.
Iran over the weekend was…being Iran. And just as we started to see gasoline prices falling, too. Are they seriously inviting the devastation the United States can bring upon them? The messages were mixed over the weekend. We’ll have to see how they sort out throughout the week.
We have one report that says Cuba is next.
Locally we have a couple of interesting reactions to a pair of drownings last week in Cocoa Beach. One county commissioner says he’d be all for a new tax to increase the lifeguard force. The mayor, though, says it’s the tourists’ fault.
But, here we are. It’s Monday and everything will be alright…for the next three hours anyway.
