(Miami, FL) -- A Brevard County teenager accused of killing his stepsister is due in court next week.Titusville 16-year-old Timothy Hudson will be arraigned Wednesday in Miami for murder and aggravated sexual abuse.He allegedly killed 18-year-old Anna Kepner while they were on a family cruise in November. Hudson is being charged as an adult, and he could get life in prison.
Fifteen Arrested In Child Predator Sting
(Orlando, FL) -- Over a dozen people are facing charges after a sting to catch child predators.Orlando Police announced yesterday 15 people were arrested in Operation Relentless Pursuit. It involved agents from federal and local agencies posing as minors offering sex for money, and some posed as adults exploiting children for sexual activity. The 15 suspects range in age from 23 to 45, and 8 of them are from Orlando, including one who's a registered sex offender. The operation started last month, and Police Chief Eric Smith says it's a clear example of the OPD's commitment to protecting children and holding offenders accountable.
HillsCo Man Pleads Guilty To Killing Mother
(Tampa, FL) -- A Hillsborough County man will spend decades behind bars for killing his mother. John Aylor pled guilty yesterday to stabbing Julie Aylor to death in Brandon in her home on Silvercrest Lane two years ago.Prosecutors say he got into the home through a doggy door and was planning to rob the 64-year-old, but they got into an argument that turned violent. The 39-year-old was sentenced to 45 years.
Scammers Use AI To Fool Owner Of Missing Dog
(Deltona, FL) -- The experience of a Volusia County man shows what can happen when artificial intelligence falls into the wrong hands. Deltona's Bill Cosens [[CUZZ-ins]] lost his dog, Archer, last weekend, and someone contacted him saying they found Archer, but he needed emergency surgery after getting hit by a car. Cosens was given images of the dog on the operating table, and the sender said they needed about three-thousand dollars for the surgery. Cosens was skeptical, though, and after concluding the images were generated by AI, he contacted the sheriff's office. Cosens never handed over any money, and, yesterday, he also got his dog back. No arrest has been announced, and Cosens tells Fox 35 whoever the scammer is, he or she is a piece of garbage.
FAA Investigating After Pilots Heard Making Animal Noises
(Washington, DC)-- The FAA is investigating after a report that two airline pilots were making animal noises while making a landing at Reagan National Airport. The pilots made dog and cat noises while talking to each other on an air traffic control channel on Sunday. The pilots were told to behave more professionally, but that demand was ignored. An audio clip featuring the two pilots went viral after the incident. The pilots could be disciplined for having a non-essential conversation during the approach to the airport.
