Deadly Deputy-Involved Shooting In Lake County
(Leesburg, FL)-- A man is dead after he was shot by a deputy in Lake County. It happened yesterday morning in Leesburg.The sheriff's office says Timotheus Reed stabbed a man on Montclair Road and ran from the scene. When he was found, the sheriff's office says there was an encounter, and Reed was shot. The 38-year-old was taken to the hospital where he passed away. The deputy is on administrative leave while FDLE is investigating the shooting.
St. Cloud Enacts New Alcohol Policy
(St. Cloud, FL)-- A new alcohol policy is in effect in part of Osceola County. The St. Cloud City Council voted last week to allow alcohol consumption seven days a week in the downtown entertainment district from 11:00 a.m. to midnight. If you buy a 16-ounce cup from a bar or restaurant in the district, you can carry it with you outdoors as long as you stay in the district. The old policy was only in effect Wednesday through Saturday.A city spokesperson tells Spectrum News 13 the new policy is a lot less confusing, and officials hope it'll bring more people to the downtown.

SWAT Deputy Caught Scrolling on Dating App During Standoff With Armed Suspect
(Jurupa Valley, CA)-- A California SWAT deputy is under investigation for scrolling on what appeared to be a dating app during a standoff with an armed suspect. It happened on Wednesday, after a police chase ended in a crash in Jurupa Valley. The suspect was later pronounced dead and appears to have committed suicide.Aerial footage showed the deputy scrolling through his phone while taking cover behind an armored vehicle, just feet from the suspect's car. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department says the deputy's actions do not reflect its standards, expectations or policies.

The app allows users to ask different questions and receive real-time results, including movie details, formats and screening options. Users are then directed to the Regal's website to complete ticket purchases. Regal is the first major exhibitor to roll out an app within ChatGPT to streamline film discovery and ticket prices. The company says the tool will help making selecting showtimes, seats and tickets more efficient.
