Launch Conditions Are 80% Go

(Cape Canaveral, FL) -- The countdown is on for a much-anticipated launch. NASA's Artemis 2 mission to the moon is expected to blast off no earlier than 6:24 tonight from Kennedy Space Center. Launch conditions are 80 percent go. Three NASA astronauts and a Canadian astronaut will fly around the moon as part of a 10-day mission. Big crowds are expected today on the Space Coast.

Brevard County Man Indicted For Killing Child

(Titusville, FL) --A Brevard County man is facing charges for the death of a child. Palm Bay's Clifford Long was indicted yesterday for the shooting death of South Melbourne two-year-old Bles'syn Lighter last year. He's also accused of trying to kill her grandparents. Long is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.   

Marcos Lopez Appears In Court

(Tavares, FL) --A former sheriff charged with racketeering may not face trial for a while. Former Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez was in court yesterday.He's charged with running an illegal gambling ring across several counties. The judge asked Lopez' lawyers how close they are to being able to set a trial date, and Lopez' lawyer said "not close." Another hearing is set for May 19th.   

Uthmeier Wants Tallahassee-Based Judge Impeached

(Tallahassee, FL) --Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier sent a letter to House Speaker Daniel Perez yesterday asking the House to impeach Circuit Court Judge Tiffany Baker-Carper. She let Daniel Spencer to remain out on bond last year after he was convicted of traveling to engage in unlawful sexual contact with a child.While out on bond, Spencer allegedly killed 5-year-old Missy Mogle. Uthmeier says Baker-Carper's decision is why Mogle is dead today. He adds the decision wasn't just disgraceful, reckless and unthinkable, it rises to the level of misdemeanor in office.  

Gear Isle Recalls Chocolate After It Was Spiked With Ingredient in Viagra, Cialis    

(San Francisco, CA) -- A California-based company is recalling chocolate after it was found to be spiked with ingredients found in Viagra and Cialis. The San Francisco Bay Area's Gear Isle recalled two products. One is called Gold Lion Aphrodisiac Chocolate Male Enhancement Sachet and the other is called Ilum Sex Chocolate Male Sexual Enhancement Booster. FDA officials say the ingredients could cause a life-threatening drop in blood pressure when mixed with nitrates found in prescription drugs. Gear Isle did not declare the prescription drug ingredients in its products.
