…25th Anniversary Week: Matt Reed
As anniversary week continues, we’ll explore the connection with talk radio and legacy media. What is often a contentious relationship isn’t always that way.
Sure, legacy media has a bias, and it’s pretty darn evident. But, don’t we have our own? Of course we do. As Rush Limbaugh said so well, we ARE equal time. We can disagree vehemently and still stand up for the person on the other side to have their view. If we are consistent in our beliefs about the constitution and rights, we stand up for the folks who think differently than we do. But, do we do that? Probably not as often as we like to think.
Matt Reed, formerly the Editorial Page Editor at Florida Today, was a regular guest on the show for a number of years. We didn’t see eye to eye, and I took flak for having him on. And we say the left is intolerant. He became a friend and the conversations were always interesting. We still have them, just not on air…until our 8am hour today!
Before he joins us, we’ll consider the California gubernatorial debate being too white, legislation gone too far in education and the latest on Iran.
Welcome to our Thursday.
