We are in a conversation daily here on the show. Communication is what we do. Think of how communication has changed recently, not to mention going back to the Pony Express, mail routes, then the telegraph and advancements in electronic communication.
From waiting weeks or even months for messages to travel, we now expect instant response, if not results. That results part may be a little unrealistic. While technology has changed, people haven’t.
Some communication now allows for relative anonymity. That lends itself to false bravado and things said online that may never be said in person. It results in talking at people instead of talking with them.
A conversation goes two ways. It takes listening as well as talking.
Today we’ll look at conservative communication and some of the frustration around it. Some of that comes from unrealistic expectations. Maybe we can find a realistic approach to what we say and how it really works.
We’ll begin the day with bad law, created by people who don’t consider the outcome of their actions. From bad law to bad people. This is more than disagreement. The National Education Association hates you.
Yesterday, Keith in Valkaria told us of an illegal immigrant from Great Britain who was deported and agreed with the action. The story’s linked up for you. There’s room for discussion on this one.
Is it possible California could elect a Republican governor? We have seen it before, if you can call Arnold Schwarzenegger a Republican. It could be happening again.
Let’s take on the day.
