Shooting In Volusia County

(Port Orange, FL)-- A man is in custody after a shootout with police officers in Volusia County. Port Orange Police released details yesterday on Sunday's incident on Orange Ave.Police say Blake Taylor called to report there were 15 people in his yard, and when an officer arrived, Taylor shot at him. The officer returned fire and was able to stop Taylor from fleeing. No one was hurt. Taylor was arrested for attempted murder of a law enforcement officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 

Flights Canceled At MCO

(Orlando, FL) -- The weather around the country continues to cause problems at Orlando International Airport. There were almost a thousand cancellations and delays yesterday, and over 60 flights are already canceled or delayed today. A woman from Philadelphia has been stuck at the airport since Sunday, and she may not be able to get home until tomorrow. She tells Spectrum News 13 at this point it's almost comical.

Biker Gang Member Pleads Guilty To Arson

(Pensacola, FL)-- Operation Take Back America is taking down an Escambia County man. The US Justice Department announced yesterday Pensacola's Gregory Simonds, Jr. pled guilty to arson by means of an explosive device causing personal injury. The arrest was part of Operation Take Back America. It's a federal effort to eliminate transnational criminal organizations.Simonds is a member of a biker gang called the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, and he was arrested last year after a fight in Fort Walton Beach with a member of the Pagans Motorcycle Club. Simonds set off an explosive device that damaged a restaurant and injured an employee. 

Astronaut Butch Wilmore Releasing Memoir After Being "Stuck in Space"

(Mt. Juliet, TN)-- An American astronaut is telling the story of what was supposed to be a quick trip to space that turned into nearly ten months aboard the International Space Station. Barry "Butch" Wilmore will release a memoir called "Stuck in Space" Tuesday. It marks one year since his return from a 286-day mission that was originally supposed to last just a week or two. The book reflects on being unexpectedly stranded in orbit, and how Wilmore leaned on discipline, leadership, and faith to get through the isolation.

2025 Vinyl Sales Reaches $1B For First Time Since 1983

(Undated) -- The U.S. recorded-music industry is reaching a record high of sales for 2025 sales.The RIAA's year end revenue report shows the industry made 11-point-five-billion dollars in revenue in 2025, with vinyl sales surpassing one-billion dollars for the first time since 1983. Taylor Swift leads vinyl sales from her album "The Life of a Showgirl," selling around one-point-six million units. Sabrina Carpenter's last two albums sold nearly 600-thousand vinyl units last year. Vinyl also led last year's physical formats, almost tripling the revenue of CDs.
