Enemies, Foreign & Domestic

In today’s world there seems to be conflict at every turn. Sure, there is Iran and Ukraine. There are other skirmishes around the globe, but even internally, they also exist on the streets of America. They even exist inside our legislative bodies at all levels.

We’ll begin our day learning how not to deal with TSA. We’ll see how New York’s own Ayatollah only wants to talk to a favorable press.

When it comes to drone warfare we tend to think about flying devices, small to large, that have dangerous capabilities. There are other, less sophisticated versions and they bring a danger all their own.

And while we have enemies threatening vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, we have enemies proudly proclaiming their hatred for us in the streets of New York.

Even so, Cuba is at the negotiating table because of the extreme financial pressures the island nation is under. In their negotiations with us, it’s interesting that they must deal with Marco Rubio, our Secretary of State of Cuban descent.

And back to domestic enemies for a moment, instead of passing voting reforms, the US Senate is playing the blame game to gain political advantage over the fact that neither side is actually working for the good of the nation. None of them are working for the good of the American people.
