The High Horse

William’s call yesterday got me to thinking. Did William think I was on a high horse? Do I sound like I’m on a high horse? Where did that phrase originate, anyway? We’ll I can see where someone in my position, above that of you commoners, might think he’s above everyone or at least come off that way. Sure, a 3am alarm is the benefit of being privileged…right until that alarm goes off in the middle of everyone else’s night.

Anyway, William gave me food for thought and we’ll kick that around at some point in today’s show.

In other news- NBC, like its fellow sportscasting network ESPN, is shaking up its personnel and making mistakes as it does so. I’ll miss Tony Dungy on Football Night in America. Dumb move, NBC.

We have more news on America’s Game- gambling- and it ain’t good.

We have welfare dependents suing over food restrictions when they are using OPM to buy their food and Tipping is back in the news with mandated tips and undeserving ones.

And while the congress can’t get the job done, Florida’s legislature has passed changes to our election law mandating citizenship and voter ID (like we didn’t already have them).

Welcome to our Friday.
