The Tampa Bay Rays (60-62) scored twice in the eighth inning to beat the San Francisco Giants (59-64) 2-1 on Saturday night in San Francisco.
Trailing 1-0 late, the Rays got RBI singles from Yandy Diaz and Brandon Lowe in the eighth inning to turn the game around. Adrian Houser got the start and pitched five shutout innings on four hits while striking out six and walking none. Edwin Uceta (9-2, 4.11) got the win out of the bullpen, while Pete Fairbanks earned his 22nd save.
