The Tampa Bay Rays (41-33) rallied to defeat the Baltimore Orioles (31-42) 12-8 on Wednesday night at Steinbrenner Field.
The Orioles scored eight runs - seven off starter Taj Bradley - in the second inning to take what appeared to be a lopsided lead. The Rays answered with three in the third and one in the fourth before erupting with four in the fifth to tie the game. Then they broke the game open with four in the seventh to take control of the game against their divisional rival.
The Ryas will now look to win the four game series when they meet in the final game on Thursday night. First pitch Thursday is scheduled for 7:35 PM - pregame coverage begins with Ronnie Lane hosting Inside Pitch at 6:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
