Residents in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, are on edge after body parts were found scattered across the city in three separate instances last week.

Last Tuesday (April 2), officials reported that a human leg was found in Warnimont Park near Lake Michigan. On Thursday, officials searched a home in connection with the investigation and said that a person of interest was taken into custody.

On Friday, officials found human remains in the city's Walnut Hill neighborhood. Then, on Saturday, they found additional remains just a few blocks away.

Authorities have been tight-lipped about the investigation and have not said if the cases are related.

Family members of a woman who has b been missing since April 1 said they found a blanket that belonged to her in a wooded area near a park where police found the unidentified human remains. They said that her car was found torched in the same neighborhood earlier in the week.

"It's just shocking. What is really going on over here? This neighborhood is supposed to be peaceful," Priscilla Bryant told WITI.
