A Country of Extremes: protect or be penalized vs get back to life!

I don’t know what I did, but for the first time in what seems like forever, I slept until 7:30 Saturday morning!Yes, I was up a little late on Friday, but that never results in sleeping that late.Other than that pleasant surprise, it was a pretty good and normal weekend. The weekly store run brought an interesting observation or two, a little work and a lot of relaxation.

As we get back into the daily routine we see extremes in how folks want to handle life as we look to the return of “normal” life. Some will jail you for not wearing a mask if you’re outside.Others will open businesses under the threat of jail. We’ll go to church for IN A HANDBASKET this morning.Again, one story goes oppressive while in the second, a mayor has a change of heart.

We learned late last week that Florida students will not return for this school year. Brevard’s school district is making alternative graduation plans and they took the wishes of the Seniors to heart as they did so.The rest of us seem to be ready to get back to life as we knew it, or as close as we can come to it. Brevard’s “social distancing” grade isn’t what one would expect. It seems to come down to: are we ready to reopen or are we fearful?

In some upbeat news we have a launch scheduled for Thursday and man launching to space from US soil is now scheduled for May.It’s been far too long.

Let’s get the week started.

MEME of the Day:

On average a panda feed for 12 hours a day. This is the same as an adult in self-isolation.That’s why we call this a pandemic!

If you own or manage a restaurant, you and your employees could be facing tough times. We have a new web page for you called Space Coast to Go.com.You can list your hours and available services for our audience to find as they seek dining options.
