Child Hurt In Shooting

(Titusville, FL) -- A girl is hurt after an accidental shooting in Brevard County. Titusville Police say the nine-year-old was shot by an older sibling during target practice in the woods off SR 407 on Saturday. The girl is in critical condition. Deputy Police Chief Todd Hutchinson says Adkins should not have had any weapons anyway since he is a convicted felon.Adkins was arrested.

Florida Republicans Criticize Saudis For Pensacola Shooting

(Tallahassee, FL) -- Some of Florida's top politicians are criticizing Saudi Arabia for the shooting that killed a Pinellas County teenager. St. Petersburg 19-year-old Mohammed Haitham was one of three people killed in a shooting Friday at Naval Air Station Pensacola. The shooter, who was killed by police, was a Saudi national training at the base and Governor Ron DeSantis says the Saudi government should have done a better job of vetting the gunman. Senator Rick Scott said on Fox News the program that allowed the gunman to train here should be suspended pending further review, and Senator Marco Rubio tweeted a review could fix any shortcomings in the vetting process.  

Shots Fired During Police Chase

(Hollywood, FL) -- Two people are in custody after a shootout with police in Broward County. Hallandale Police say as they were trying to pull over a driver on Foster Road yesterday, the passenger leaned out of the window and pointed a gun at them. That led to a chase that ended in Hollywood, and police say an officer was forced to fire more than one shot. One suspect was hit and taken to the hospital, and the other suspect was caught by police. 

Student Arrested For Shooting Threat

(Lauderdale Lakes, FL) -- A Broward County girl is accused of threatening a school shooting. The 12-year-old girl was arrested Friday for alleged threats directed at Falcon Cove Middle School in Weston. Deputies say she posted a death list on Instagram, and it specified today as the day on which the students would be killed. Deputies say the girl confessed. 

Man Pulled From Water Passes Away

(New Smyrna Beach, FL) -- A man is dead after an apparent drowning in Volusia County. The unidentified Edgewater resident was pulled from the water yesterday afternoon in New Smyrna Beach off South Atlantic Ave. He was taken to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival. Beach Safety Ocean Rescue says the man was swimming about a mile from the closest lifeguard tower. 

Peloton Actress Featured In New Ad For Ryan Reynolds' Gin

(Undated) -- The actress featured in a commercial for the exercise bike Peloton is back and poking fun at the ad that has stirred up a lot of controversy. Some on social media took issue with the ad that featured a husband buying the pricey Peloton bike for his wife as a gift. Actor Ryan Reynolds has now recruited actress Monica Ruiz for his Aviation Gin. In it, Ruiz looks shaken as she stands at a bar with a couple of friends. She then toasts to "new beginnings" and downs her martini. The ad ends with a jab at Ruiz's previous gig, with a friend saying "you look great, by the way."

Man Eats Banana Duct-Taped To Wall

(Miami Beach, FL) -- Somebody ate that banana that was sold for 120-thousand-dollars at a Florida art exhibit. Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan [[ MO-riz-ee-oh KAT-ee-lan ]] duct-taped a banana to the wall at an art exhibition in Miami Beach and called it "Comedian." It sold for 120-thousand dollars to a French art collector. On Saturday, a New York artist walked up to the art installation and ate the banana. Performance artist David Datuna named his stunt, "Hungry Artist." He slipped away before security could arrive. The museum's director said the banana will be replaced.
