Baltimore Ravens Move Past New England Patriots As Super Bowl Favorites

San Francisco 49ers v Baltimore Ravens

The New England Patriots are no longer favored to win Super Bowl LIV in Miami, Florida. The Patriots have been supplanted by the Baltimore Ravens, who defeated the San Francisco 49ers to win their eighth straight game on Sunday (December 1). The Ravens' impressive, hard-fought win, coupled with the Patriots' loss to the Houston Texans, moved them to the top of the AFC standings, and they are now at +250 odds to win the Super Bowl, based on rankings by FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Patriots slid down to the second position at +350 while the Saints sit in third at +550. The 49ers, who won their first eight games of the season, are fourth at +800.

After week four, the Ravens were sitting at 2-2 and were a 40-1 longshot to win the Super Bowl based on Caesars Sportsbook. Since then, they have gone 8-0 and are sitting atop the AFC standings with a record of 10-2. During their winning streak, they defeated six playoff contenders who have a combined record of 51-20.

The Ravens have been led on the field by MVP-candidate quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is playing in his first full NFL season. He has thrown for 2,532 yards and 25 touchdowns while rushing for 977 yards and seven touchdowns.
