Starbucks Sparks Debate In Indialantic 

(Indialantic, FL) -- Some Brevard County residents are upset about a new Starbucks. Indialantic officials voted this week to change the town code to allow a store to open at the former SunTrust Bank building. The space between First and Michigan avenues offers enough room for a drive-through, but neighbors worry more cars will increase traffic and endanger kids who walk to school. Final approval by the Town Council is expected next month, and one man complained to Florida Today that means he'll have to live just 20 feet from the drive-through.

Woman Won't Be Charged In Deadly Apopka Stabbing 

(Apopka, FL) -- An Orange County woman won't have to face charges for a deadly stabbing, but two other people will. Deputies determined yesterday that the Apopka woman was acting in self-defense when she stabbed and killed a woman who attacked her this week. The victim was in her home when deputies say 31-year-old Hope Garcia, the victim's ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend, broke in and beat her. Garcia's alleged accomplices were arrested yesterday and charged with second-degree murder.  

Bones Found In Bag In Jacksonville 

(Jacksonville, FL) -- The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking into a disturbing discovery in the woods of Northwest Jacksonville. A man yesterday found human remains in a bag off Utsey Road. He says the bag contained a skull, rib bones, leg bones and other types. The sheriff’s office has not released any details.

Deadly JSO-Involved Shooting 

(Jacksonville, FL) -- A homeless veteran in a wheelchair credits a Jacksonville Sheriff’s officer for saving his life. The unidentified man said yesterday that Frankie Felciano was holding a knife to his throat Wednesday night when Officer Tyler Landreville arrived on the scene on West State Street. The JSO says Landreville shot Feliciano three times when he refused to drop his weapon, and the 33-year-old died at the scene. The homeless man tells News4Jax he doesn't know what prompted Feliciano to act like he did.The JSO says Landreville prevented what could have been a catastrophic outcome.

Immigration Roundups Expected This Weekend 

(Sweetwater, FL) -- Immigrants in South Florida are scared out of their minds. That's what an immigration attorney says about expected raids this weekend targeting illegal immigrants who have ignored deportation orders. ICE has not confirmed the raids will take place, but the New York Times reports up two thousand people around the country could be arrested. A local immigration lawyer tells 7News she's warning her clients not to open the door for ICE agents unless they show a warrant.

Vandal Ordered To Paint Railings With Toothbrush 

(Painesville, OH) -- An Ohio man will have a tedious painting job to do as an alternative to jail. Avery White accepted a judge's order this week to paint railings with a toothbrush after he was caught spray-painting a caboose owned by the Grand River Railway. Painesville Municipal Court Judge Michael Cicconetti offered the unusual sentence instead of ten days in jail.
