Boeing Announces Move To Space Coast

(Titusville, FL) -- Boeing is coming to Brevard County. The company announced yesterday it will move its Space and Launch division to Titusville. The company says the time is right to locate its space headquarters where so much space history was made. The division is currently based in the DC area, and it's not clear how many new employees will be hired.

More Arrests Made In Counterfeiting Ring

(DeLand, FL) -- Investigators are closer to catching everyone wanted in a suspected counterfeiting ring in Volusia County. Deputies this week arrested more people for allegedly printing and circulating fake currency last year. Nine people have now been arrested, including the alleged mastermind, but two more suspects remain on the loose. All the suspects are accused of passing more than 100-thousand-dollars' worth of fake money over a three-month period in DeLand, North DeLand and Orange City.

Dozens Displaced By Perdido Key Fire

(Perdido Key, FL) -- Dozens of homes are destroyed after a fire in Escambia County. The fire started early yesterday in Perdido Key at the Key Harbour Condominiums. By the time it was over, 26 units and a single-family home were uninhabitable. No major injuries were reported, but some pets are unaccounted for, and there's no word on a cause.

A couple of Waffle House employees may be heroes. A Perdido Key resident says he noticed the workers from the midnight shift banging on doors to alert people to the fire early yesterday morning. He didn't get their names, but he tells Channel 3 News they did a heck of a job and probably saved a few people from getting hurt or worse.

Israel Fights Dismissal

(Fort Lauderdale, FL) -- Scott Israel claims his firing as Broward County sheriff was unjust and politically-motivated. Israel testified to a special master yesterday that he deserves to have his job back after the governor suspended him. Israel says his men were properly trained to handle the Parkland school shooting, but there was nothing he could do when those same men ignored their training and let people die. The special master will issue a recommendation to the state Senate, which will then vote on whether to fire Israel.

Seventeen Convictions To Be Overturned After Firing Of Three TPD Officers

(Tampa, FL) -- The firings of some police officers will clear the names of over a dozen suspects in Hillsborough County. State Attorney Andrew Warren announced yesterday that his office has overturned the convictions of 17 people after three Tampa police officers were fired for misconduct. The suspects were convicted based largely on the testimony of the officers, and Warren says those convictions cannot stand. None of the 17 suspects are currently behind bars.

FSU Eliminated From CWS

(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha is the end of the road for Mike Martin's career and Florida State's baseball season. Texas Tech beat Florida State 4-1 last night in the College World Series. It was the Noles' second loss in the double-elimination tournament after opening with a win over Arkansas. The loss marks the end of Coach Martin's 40-year career and he retires as college baseball's all-time winningest coach.

(Torrington, CT) -- A fugitive with a fondness for Facebook is in jail in Connecticut. Last month, Jose Simms told police that he would turn himself in if his wanted poster got at least 15-thousand likes on Facebook. The post garnered 29-thousand likes. Simms faces charges including breach of peace, risk of injury to a child and failing to appear.
