Trump In Orlando Tonight

(Orlando, FL) -- Big crowds of supporters and protesters are expected to greet the president in Orlando tonight. President Trump will kick-off his 2020 campaign with a speech at the Amway Center at 8:00. Traffic around the arena will be restricted, and SunRail is expecting full trains all day. Festivities begin at 10:00 this morning with live music and food trucks, and protests are planned for 5:00 tonight at the Stonewall Bar.  

Protesters To Fly Baby Trump Balloon 

(Orlando, FL) -- President Trump will be greeted tonight by fans, protesters and a balloon gaining worldwide fame. Baby Trump is a helium-filled balloon that looks like Trump in a diaper, and it will be located at the Stonewall Bar where protesters will rally tonight at 5:00. The balloon debuted in Great Britain last year, and its American likeness made its debut a few months later in West Palm Beach. 

Gillum Not Giving Up On Hopes Of Being Governor 

(Atlanta, GA) -- Despite talk of a presidential run, Andrew Gillum still has his sights set on Tallahassee. During a Democratic National Committee event last week in Atlanta, Gillum told TheBeatDC.com that he still plans to be governor. He didn't officially announce the launch of a 2022 campaign, but he said if he were to run again, he would change the way he campaigned last year. 

Fort Myers Discusses Arming City Officials 

(Fort Myers, FL) -- Recent shootings at government buildings around the country could prompt changes in Lee County. The Fort Myers City Council yesterday discussed arming city officials. Hours earlier, a shooting was reported at a federal courthouse in Dallas, and last month, 12 people were killed in a shooting at a city building in Virginia. One council member says it's not a question of if it will happen again but when and where. 

Bear Sighting In Port Orange 

(Port Orange, FL) -- An unwanted, four-legged visitor is responsible for a bunch of 911 calls in Volusia County. Residents of New Smyrna Beach and Port Orange reported seeing a bear roaming the area yesterday. Bear sightings were also reported last week in Edgewater, Titusville and Mims. No injuries or encounters have been reported.  

FSU Loses In CWS 

(Omaha, NE) -- Florida State baseball is one loss away from ending its season and its coach's career. Michigan shutout Florida State, 2-nothing, last night in the College World Series in Omaha. The Seminoles won their opener against Arkansas this weekend, but they need a win tomorrow against Texas Tech to keep the season alive in Coach Mike Martin's final year.

Pakistani Politician's Press Conference Filmed With Cat Filter 

(Islamabad) -- A Pakistani lawmaker is going viral after a press conference he held was broadcast on Facebook Live with a "cat filter." The filter gave the politician pink cat ears, a cute nose and whiskers as he spoke to journalists last week. The lawmaker’s political party blamed the incident on a mistake by a volunteer.
