Deadly Deputy-Involved Shooting In Orange County 

(Orlando, FL) -- A man is dead after a deputy-involved shooting in Orange County. Deputies were called to a home yesterday Fort Clinch Avenue for a report of a man hitting his mother. When they arrived, they say 40-year-old Eddie Segura swung a bar stool at them, and one deputy shot him to death. The sheriff says deputies tried using a Taser but it was ineffective, and two deputies suffered minor injuries.

Boy's 911 Call Leads To Arrest In Murder 

(Orlando, FL) -- A boy's 911 call is credited with locking up a murder suspect in Orange County. Jason Lindsey was arrested this week for killing his wife in their home on Sand Lake Road. The woman's eight-year-old son called 911 to report his stepdad was choking and stabbing his mother, and when deputies arrived, they found the suspect in the home covered in blood. The suspect claims it was self-defense and that it was his wife who tried to stab him.  

Neighborhood Argument Turns Into Deadly Shooting 

(Hudson, FL) -- A man is dead after an argument with his neighbor turned violent in Pasco County. Deputies say two Hudson residents on Victory Drive were arguing last night when one man threatened 66-year-old Tim Fryling and hit a woman. Fryling then apparently grabbed a gun, ordered the man off his property and shot him when he refused to leave. The man died at the hospital, and no charges have been announced.

Shots Fired At Miami-Dade Officers 

(Miami, FL) -- Two men considered armed and dangerous are on the loose. The men are wanted for shooting at police officers last night during an attempted traffic stop in Northwest Miami-Dade County. Police were trying to pull over the carjacking suspects, but they fired at officers and took off. No one was hurt.  

New Report Says FIU Bridge Should Have Been Closed Hours Before Collapse 

(Miami, FL) -- The lead engineer is among those being blamed in a new report about the deadly FIU bridge collapse. The report released yesterday by OSHA finds hours before the collapse last year, engineers discovered cracks that should have led to the road under the bridge being closed, but lead engineer Denney Pate didn't think that was necessary. Pate is also accused of ignoring claims from construction workers that cracks were getting bigger, but Munilla Construction Management is blamed for not overriding Pate and closing the street anyway. OSHA also found that engineers were first made aware of cracks five days before the collapse. 

Titusville Rules In Favor Of Homeowner In Airbnb Dispute 

(Titusville, FL) -- A Brevard County homeowner can claim victory in a dispute with his city. Titusville officials this week ruled in favor of J.D. Daniel, who was accused of violating the city's law on short-term rentals. That law requires homes to be rented for a minimum of three months, but the code board ruled Daniel was not in violation because he only rented out three rooms and not the whole house.  

Cedar Falls Farm Offers Goat Cuddling 

(Cedar Falls, IA) -- A farm in Cedar Falls, Iowa is now allowing people to cuddle with a pack of baby goats. According to Three Pines Farm's website, the farm is offering ten-dollar appointments to cuddle baby goats and enjoy ice cream in its heritage barn. The appointments include a 30-minute cuddle session plus a 15-minute tour to see the mama goats and milking parlor.
