21 Savage's Manager Shares An Update On Rapper's Detainment

21 Savage is still in federal immigration custody as he faces potential deportation for overstaying his visa, as per an update from his co-manager on Tuesday (February 5).

In a since-deleted tweet from Stone Mound Meezy, the businessman provided an update on the rapper after speaking with him on the phone. “He is in lockdown for 23hrs of the day no tv or any communication besides our 10 min phone calls," he wrote to his following. "Everything I've told him that has been happening made him happy & makes this time fly by thank y'all for the support."

As we reported, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested the 26-year-old rapper in Atlanta on Sunday, arguing that he is an "unlawfully present United Kingdom national," who came to the United States on a visa in July 2005 at just 14-years-old. They also detailed that his visa expired a year after and he has been living in the country illegally since then. Meanwhile, the rapper is gaining plenty of support from the Black Lives Matter movement, as well as his hip-hop peers like Meek Mill, Offset, Cardi B and Nick Minaj, who have all joined the #Free21Savage campaign. When it comes to the court of law, he also seems to have a good chance at escaping the debacle unharmed. "As a top entertainer, and an internationally recognized talent, 21 Savage would be eligible to apply for permanent residence in the United States, also known as a green card," attorney Deron Smallcomb previously explained to Complex.
