Valentina Comes Out As Non-Binary

Fan favorite Valentina from RuPaul's Drag Race has come out as non-binary, as per her new interview with Out.

In the discussion in promotion for FOX's upcoming live production of RENTthe All Stars Season 4 contestant made the revelation, saying, "I identify as non-binary. I don’t completely feel like a man, I don’t completely feel like a woman. I feel like a goddess. I feel like I’m my own gender." Valentina joins additional Drag Race alumni who have already come forth as nonbinary or gender non-conforming, including Courtney Act, Violet Chachki, Jinkx Monsoon, and Aja.

For her foray into the live production, the Drag Race titan revealed that coming out as non-binary has helped shape her approach to tackling the role of Angel in the upcoming TV special. "I get to bring that aspect to my Angel character," she said, "And really have an idea of like, 'Why is she so happy and so confident in her armor, in her drag?' I do take the responsibility of being a gay non-binary drag queen person taking on a really important iconic role like Angel and I hope [audiences] tune in for it."
