Police Obtained Snapchat Video of Spacey Allegedly Assaulting Teen, Report

Video evidence available in Kevin Spacey case

A felony assault charge against actor Kevin Spacey reportedly contains Snapchat video of the assault, according to a Massachusetts State Police investigative report obtained by Mass Live.

Spacey is scheduled to be arraigned on one count of indecent assault on a person over the age of 14 on Jan. 7th, 2019 at Nantucket District Court for allegedly groping the teenage son of former WCVB anchor Heather Unruh.

The report filed by State Police with the criminal complaint in Nantucket District Court reported contains a firsthand account of Spacey's alleged actions at The Club Car Bar and restaurant two-and-a-half-years ago.

'[Unruh’s son] said the whole thing was embarrassing and has not had a ‘profound emotional effect’ on him. [He] told his friends about it and makes jokes about it because that is his way," Trooper Gerald F. Donovan wrote in his report. "[He] called the police because he doesn’t want what happened to him to happen to anyone else."

Spacey was accused last year by former Boston TV news anchor Heather Unruh of sexually assaulting her then 18-year-old son inside the Club Car Restaurant on Nantucket. Unruh says Spacey plied her son with drinks, even though he was not of legal drinking age.

"My son was a starstruck, straight 18-year-old young man who had no idea that the famous actor was an alleged sexual predator or that he was about to become his next victim," she said. "When my son was drunk, Spacey made his move and sexually assaulted him."

Unruh says that while her son was intoxicated, Spacey reached into his pants and grabbed his genitals without consent.

In the report Unruh's son told police that when Spacey began attempting to grope him, he tried shifting his body away, but the actor continued to try and stick his hand down his pants. At one point, Unruh's son said that as the alleged assault continued, he began capturing Snapchat video of Spacey touching him in order to prove what happened, sending the video to his girlfriend.

The girlfriend confirmed with State Police that she received a video of Spacey touching the front of her boyfriend's pants, according to the report.

“[His girlfriend] said a lot of people knew Spacey had hit on [Unruh’s son,] but people didn’t know he was actually sexually assaulted,” Donovan wrote.

On the same day news broke that Spacey would be facing the felony charge, the actor posted a bizarre video to his social channels in which he delivered a monologue reminiscent of his former "House of Cards" character Frank Underwood.

"I know what you want," Spacey begins. "Oh sure, they may have tried to separate us, but what we have is too strong, it's too powerful and after all, we shared everything, you and I. I told you my deepest, darkest secrets. I showed you exactly what people are capable of. I shocked you with my honesty, but mostly I challenged you and made you think. And you trusted me even though you knew you shouldn't. So we're not done, no matter what anyone says. And besides, I know what you want: You want me back."

The three-minute video seemingly references Spacey's character, Frank Underwood, being written off the political drama after the actor was accused of sexual assault last year. "All this presumption made for such an unsatisfying ending. And to think, it could have been such a memorable send-off," Spacey muses in the video.

“But you wouldn’t believe the worst without evidence, would you? You wouldn’t rush to judgements without facts, would you? Did you?”

The video garnered more than 6.5 million views on YouTube in the 48 hours after it was released.
