Social media is killing real life for some folks. The Heisman Trophy winner, Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray, has had to scrub his Twitter feed to eliminate “homophobic” comments that some are finding offensive. Kevin Hart is out as the Oscars’ host for largely the same thing. The NFL keep compounding its image problem by fining a player who celebrated a touchdown with a donation in the end zone to the Salvation Army.
In the real world Florida’s schools are apparently underreporting crimes on campus to the state. Former House Speaker Richard Corcoran will be the new Education Commissioner. One school is turning to a collection agency for lunch bills, but they still feed penniless kids.
Brevard’s voter turnout, though large, was largely what we’d expect. The new commissioner is hir9ing staff and his associates are struggling to find volunteer board members even thought he wants them term limited. It turns out Melbourne’s City Manager WAS looking for work in spite of his protestations to the contrary. Palm Bay has made their recent “interim” move permanent. That should be interesting.
Say hello to Ray as he sits on for Jorge’s vacation today. Ray will also join me on the AFTERSHOW SHOW at 10am on Facebook live and the iHeart Radio channel.
