Bear Casually Strolls into California Highway Patrol Office

The California Highway Patrol may have a new recruit that's smarter than your average bear.

In video shared by the California Highway Patrol's Donner Pass Commercial Vehicle Enforcement division on Saturday, a brown bear can be seen wandering into the CHP's office and taking a look around.

The curious (or more likely, hungry) animal is first seen in the video standing outside the station on its back legs, peeking inside. The bear then manages to pull open the door and then casually strolls into the office, located in Truckee, California, a town located north of Lake Tahoe.

The bear takes a brief look around, and then then eventually wanders out the same way it came in. Two armed officers can be seen following the bear out the door.

The CHP wrote on Facebook that their "unexpected visitor" stopped by their Donner Pass division office on Nov. 17.
