New York City Prepares For 17th Anniversary Of 9/11

New York City will mark the 17th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with several events happening this Tuesday.  The September 11th Memorial and Museum will hold its annual ceremony on the 9/11 Memorial Plaza at the World Trade Center site and will remember the nearly 3,000 people who died in the attacks.  Houses of worship in the city will toll their bells in conjunction with the first moment of silence at 8:46 a.m., the time when the first plane hit the North Tower.  Later in the day, the Port Authority will hold its annual remembrance service at 2 p.m. to remember staffers who died on September 11, 2001.
