Meteorologist Accused Of Fracturing Skull Of News Anchor During Fight

A meteorologist from a West Virginia television station is accused of fracturing the skull of a news anchor following a fight at a bar over the weekend. Despite appearing to have a cordial relationship on TV, Chelsea Ambriz and Erica Bivens do not get along when the camera is off. Their rocky relationship came to a head when they ran into each other at a local bar.

Bivens accused Ambriz of hitting on her husband and the two co-workers started to argue. Ambriz shoved Bivens to the ground and she hit her head, rupturing her eardrum and fracturing her skull.

Officer Adam Douglas spoke with Bivens from her hospital bed and recommended that she get a protection order against Ambriz, who was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault. She faces up to one year in prison and a fine of no more than $500.

According to FTVLive, Ambriz has been suspended from her role at WSAZ, though the network has not confirmed the report.
