Falcon Heavy Launch Set For Today (Cape Canaveral, FL) -- History is set to be made on the Space Coast today. This afternoon's Falcon Heavy launch, with liftoff scheduled between 1:30 and 4:00 at Kennedy Space Center, will be the most powerful rocket in the world. Musk Promises Launch Will Be Exciting, One Way Or Another (Cape Canaveral, FL) -- SpaceX CEO Elon Musk yesterday discussed the launch of the Falcon Heavy. He says there are many unknowns, such as the effect of supersonic shockwaves and the effect falling ice could have while in flight. The rocket will be carrying an electric sports car made by Musk's company Tesla. The 2008 roadster will orbit between Earth and Mars for a long time…Musk saying it will be hundreds of millions of years or maybe even longer…OR NOT!

Dupree enters guilty plea in Needelman/BlueWare case (Sanford, FL) -- And from Florida Today’s John McCarthy, William Matthew Dupree pleaded guilty Monday to bribery, just before his trial in the Mitch Needelman corruption saga was about to begin.

In exchange, prosecutors agreed to drop charges of conspiracy to commit bribery, bid tampering and unlawful campaign contributions.

Dupree faces up to 15 years in prison on the bribery charge. Had he been convicted of all four charges, he would have faced up to 40 years in prison.

Sentencing has been set for April 9. The state attorney's office said there was no agreement about the sentence Dupree will receive as part of the deal.
