WIDE OPEN WEDNESDAY: Education, Harassment, Tax Reform

JAIL FOR JACK???

We begin today with higher education.  It seems those in it are a bit surprised we think less of it than they do.  We’ll explore why we think as we do and have an example they are apparently ignoring.

The County Commission decided to try and borrow the money for the Blue Origin cash incentive that is coming due.  It is a bad call that encumbers the NBEDZ for the $8m and interest when they had the option of paying over six years without borrowing.  It will also cost $25k to hire an attorney to pursue permission from the courts for taking out the loan.  Scott Ellis is vowing to fight it in count.  Can anyone say Needelman and BlueWare?

In Tallahassee Senator Jack Latvala may lose more than his gubernatorial bid.  The allegations of inappropriate behavior against him may have reached the level of criminal behavior.  We’ll take a look at what’s next.

In Washington the House passed the tax cut plan, the Senate did as well, but with changes so the House will have to vote again.  We are poised for the biggest action on tax reform in decades.

However, today is your day.  WIDE OPEN WEDNESDAY lets you decide the topics we tackle on today’s show…so, what’s on YOUR mind?
