FEAR in our Sexual Harassment Environment

THE BALL FAMILY: LEARNING NOTHING FROM BASKETBALL!

I’ve loved basketball since I was a young boy.  The game taught me lots of lessons about life and competition while imparting life skills to me that I use even today.  Too bad more talented players aren’t necessarily learning that!  Specifically the Ball family of UCLA, the Los Angeles Lakers and wanna be athletic apparel fame.  The middle Ball son was a UCLA player who was caught shoplifting in China. Nobody has said this kid is smart, but he’s also disrespectful.  The apple does not fall far from the tree. Daddy has become a sports media circus.  While these folks think a lot of themselves, they have learned nothing of humility and appreciation.  I am sick of them.

The sexual harassment heavy environment we are in is changing our culture.  It might be for the better, but it may just be changing things for the worse.  I take my cues on workplace relationships and contact from the folks around me.  If a gal wants a hug, I hug.  A handshake?  OK.  No contact?  That’s fine, too. But are we now afraid to be ourselves?

Randy Fine returns in our 7am hour to continue the discussion on his bill that still seems like government intervening where it should not.  The conversation was lively as we tacked this on Thursday’s show. Today we’ll get back into it and other legislation Randy has filed.

In our 8am hour Florida Today’s Bob Gabordi is with us as we kick around the media’s take on recent events.

Monday we’ll tackle our COPS AND ROBBERS section as we look at race and law enforcement, Sheriff Ivey’s WHEEL OF FUGITIVE and cops and their personal lives intersecting with the job.
