IS YOUR CHURCH READY?

As we learn more about the Texas church shooting the picture becomes more clear.  It also raises questions about any gathering of large numbers of people.  Is your church or other venue prepared should some nut decide mass killing is on the agenda?  And why is faith under attack in the wake of the shooting?

The Confederate flag issue is bound to return as the Sons of Confederate Veterans are prepared to participate in Melbourne’s Veterans Day Parade.

It is Election Day, and while there are no county wide or state races or issues on the ballot, your local government could change as a result of today.  And in Tallahassee, the Hollywood sex scene apparently holds nothing on members of the legislature…or that’s the picture being painted.

The Needelman case is not quite over.  The complaining juror claims he was intimidated into his verdict by other jurors.  Again, it begs for knowledgeable guidance for juries of citizens who are unfamiliar with the process.

Education is important, but does it go where it should not?  Florida State has suspended all Greek life activities as John Thrasher tries to get a handle on the childish behavior of kids becoming adults.  And what about where your kid goes to school?  Redistricting is being considered by Brevard Schools and folks are naturally concerned.  Board Member Andy Ziegler joins us at 8 to discuss the possibilities.

The County Commission will meet tonight and using TDC dollars for the lagoon is on the agenda.  While they are at that, let’s not forget any changes to the tax use should include roads in the discussion.
