Justice and Perception

SOMEBODY HAS FALLEN BY HIS OWN HAND...AND CAN'T GET UP!

We made to Friday…and for another week, Colin Kaepernick won’t make it to Sunday.  While the sports world is all aghast that the Houston Texans did not pick up the former 49er, I am not.  He made this bed and he doesn’t like laying in it.  Actions have consequences and there is no collusion to keep him out as he wants to believe.  He’s radioactive because of his own actions.  He needs to understand that.

That Utah nurse who was arrested for not drawing blood when a police officer ordered her to has received a big settlement from the city.  She should have.  The Mitch Needelman trial may get a do over.  A juror has alleged that jurors were discussing the case before it was completed and that some had made their decisions before all the evidence was presented.

Primary elections are for parties to determine the nominees.  It’s not one party’s problem that another party failed to field a candidate in a particular race.  Yet, there are cries from several corners that primaries should be open or that “write-in” candidate should not close primary elections.  I have a better solution: primaries should be closed all the time, period.  If your party isn’t strong enough to field a viable candidate, why should you be allowed to vote in my primary…or visa-versa for that matter?

Florida Today’s Bob Gabordi is with us at 8am.  We’ll look at the Needelman case, justice in general and more.
