At this year's Power 99 Powerhouse, Offset stopped the world when he got on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend, Cardi B, onstage.
We've always seen the love that was shared between the two, from the minute they've gotten together. At the 2017 VMAs pre-show, Cardi B even joked that she was ready for the Migos rapper to pop the question to her. While speaking to "The Breakfast Club" personality Charlamagne Tha God, Cardi B said, "Boy, is you gonna marry me? Marry me?... You know, if you wanna propose to me, you can."
Unfortunately less than a week ago, the couple briefly broke up -- for a few hours, to be exact. But, they quickly got back together and decided that their love wasn't through. So, Offset decided to make things official and take the "Bodak Yellow" rapper off the market at Philly's Powerhouse.
In her first post-engagement interview, Cardi B was still on cloud nine. She spoke to Mina Saywhat right after the proposal went down. "When I'm getting on the stage, I see my mom behind me and I'm like, 'Mom? What the hell you doing here?'" Cardi started. When asked what Offset said to her when he got down on one knee, she continued, "Girl, I couldn't even see his mouth. All I could see was Jesus Christ! I just said, 'Yes.'" Then, she admitted to crying backstage after the moment.
"It's gonna be a gangsta celebration," the Bronx artist answered when she was asked what type of wedding she wants. "I definitely know who's going to be my bridesmaids." She wants her sister, Hennessy, her publicist, best friends and cousins. Cardi added, "I already have it pictured. A lot of red." She went on to say that she doesn't know if she'll have a televised wedding like Gucci Mane did because she's crazy and doesn't want people to see that side of her. (Hmmm, sweetie, we already have.)
"I'm so speechless. I'm so full of joy, love... I just wanna be with my man, hug him and let him know how much I love him..." the rapper concluded.
