Trump: Harvey Relief Will Be a Model for the Future

President Trump visited Texas on Tuesday to get a firsthand look at the devastation of Harvey, and he promised that relief efforts under his watch would set a mark for future such efforts. 

"We want to be looked at in five years and 10 years from now as, 'This is the way to do it,'" Trump said at a firehouse in Corpus Christi, Texas, per USA Today. After Corpus Christi, the president and first lady were to visit Austin. 

Press chief Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters that the president is conscious "about making sure that any activity doesn't disrupt any of the recovery efforts." He won't, for instance, be going to Houston.
