Protests Expected As President Trump Returns to New York City

President Trump is expected to be met by protesters on Monday, as he returns to New York City.

Crowds are expected to line the streets near Trump Tower on Monday night, demonstrating against the president’s refusal to condemn white supremacists by name for a deadly car attack in Charlottesville, Virginia on Monday.

This is just the second time President Trump has returned to New York City since the inauguration in January.  Back in May, Trump attended a ceremony at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.

“The NYPD is prepared.  There's no police force in the world that does a better job of handling presidential visits than the NYPD,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said.

President Trump is expected to stay in New York City through Wednesday.
