Bill's Daily News: Today in History

2004, Army Specialist Jeremy Sivits pleaded guilty to four charges stemming from detainee abuse at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. And was probably treated more inhumanely than those prisoners!

1997, NBC sportscaster Marv Albert was indicted for biting a woman as many as 15 times during a sexual romp in an Arlington, Virginia, hotel room.  Say it with me....Yessssssss!

1992, Mary Jo Buttafuoco was shot and wounded by Amy Fisher, who claimed to be having an affair with Buttafuoco's husband Joey. Fisher was dubbed the "Long Island Lolita."  And reporters just like saying Buttafuoco!

1911, Caesar Cella became the first person convicted of a crime through the use of fingerprints.

1884, the Ringling Brothers opened their first circus. Sadly, their last performance is this weekend in New York state.

1536, Anne Boleyn, the wife of England's King Henry the Eighth, was beheaded.  Coincidentally, that was also her last performance!
