House Committee Advances Bill To Lower Gun-Buying Age

Broward County Man Describes Train Rescue
(Hallandale Beach, FL) -- A woman is alive thanks to the heroic actions of two men in Broward County. Wayne Jones and another man helped free a woman whose SUV got stuck on train tracks Saturday in Hallandale Beach. Jones and the other man tried to use a truck to push the SUV off the tracks, but it didn't work and time was running short. Jones says he helped pull the woman out of the SUV, and they all got off the tracks just in time. The train hit the SUV and the truck, but no one was hurt.
Worst Drivers in the U.S. List Out
(Salt Lake City, UT) -- New data ranks North Dakota the number one state with the worst drivers in the U.S. According to a Lending Tree report, the state tops nationwide for speeding-related incidents -- with 64 per one-thousand drivers. New Jersey came in second overall, while Utah came in third. Michigan was ranked the best, with just 21 incidents per one-thousand drivers. The report looked at accidents, DUIs, speeding, and other driving violations to determine the rankings.
Waymo Cab Inadvertently Drives Through Police Standoff
(Los Angeles, CA) -- Another Waymo incident is circulating around social media after a driverless cab was seen on video going through a police standoff in Los Angeles. The Waymo robotaxi could be seen making a left turn onto a street where a white pickup truck was pulled over by several police cruisers with flashing lights. Officers yelled for the vehicle to move and according to a Waymo spokesperson, the vehicle eventually cleared the scene and the passengers reached their destination safely. The company says safety is their highest priority and they learn from unusual events like this one to improve performance.
